About the Series

Life Reimagined is a free four-part wellbeing series for parents of children with disability or illness.

In the series, we explore what becomes possible when we look beyond the daily demands of parenting and reconnect with the wellbeing, clarity and strength that are already within us. Through lived experience, practical insight and honest conversation, the series offers a different perspective, one that can help us navigate family life with a little more calm, connection and resilience.

Session 1: Opening up to possibility

Session 2: Learning to trust yourself

Session 3: The impact on relationships

Session 4: Putting it all together

Session Format

Each 75-minute session was held live on Zoom, recorded and then made available for our community to watch via the member area. Each session comprises wellbeing content combined with audience participation and questions.

The Almond Tree Foundation is a registered UK charity focused on supporting the wellbeing of parents caring for a child with disability or serious illness. Our work brings together wellbeing education and a supportive community, so parents feel less alone and more grounded as they navigate life.

Our name comes from the almond tree, a symbol of hope and renewal. As one of the first trees to blossom after winter, it signals spring and the hope of change in the season ahead.

The series is free, however, if you wish to contribute to the Almond Tree Foundation's work, you can make a donation here:

About the Speakers

julian headshot

Julian Fraser

Julian’s second child experienced complications at birth, which marked the beginning of a very different journey for his family. His daughter, now 22, has quadriplegic cerebral palsy with complex care needs, and her brother also has Autism and ADHD.

The early years brought many challenges, and Julian often felt uncertain about what lay ahead. Over time, a shift in perspective helped him see that wellbeing and hope were still available, even in difficult moments.

He later trained as a professional practitioner, and for the past 15 years has shared this understanding through conversations, workshops and community programmes, always with a focus on making wellbeing feel simple and grounded in everyday life.

In 2020, Julian co-founded the Almond Tree Foundation to support parents of children with disabilities. He lives in London with his wife, Jo, their five children and Henri the Labrador.

Angelina Hynes

Angelina Hynes is a life and wellbeing coach, a speaker and a family carer. Thirteen years ago, Angelina was plunged into the caring role when her daughter Zoe was born with a rare genetic syndrome. Completely shellshocked she had no idea how to navigate the special needs journey and fear and anger became her constant companions.

In 2018, Angelina reached the point of burnout. She resigned from her permanent, pensionable job and spent a year in hiding away from the world. She was always interested in mental health and wellbeing so returned to college to study coaching and the psychology of coaching.

Since then, she has come across the simple secret of how life works from the inside out, transforming her experience from stress and overwhelm  to a life of ease, fun and laughter. She is passionate about creating space to help others to wake up to their extraordinariness and a renewed way of living.
